In certain combinations, as found in TB, it may be predictive. Development of the method with inclusion of biochemical markers would increase its predictability value. On the other hand, the study points out that retreat from optimal level of homosygousity (in the both patients'groups towards its lower degree)may predict not only lower resistance to diseases (i.e. has primary prevention importance) but also indicate dominant factor influence in both lung cancer and tuberculosis susceptibility. Predictive value of the method is currently more evident in the field of sports medicine.

I am not clear if you are suggesting that these traits facilitate the developement of TB or Lung Cancer or whether than have a prognostic significance.
