Rate of PE/DVT?
Dear Colleague, As I am currently involved a trial evaluating the role of LMWH in the management of NSCLC, I am very interested in your work. I was particulary struck by the high rate of DVT/PE. I wondered if this were all symptomatic cases or were asymptomatic "screen detected" DVT/PE cases also included? The difference is survival is also very striking. Regarding the difference in survival I wondered if the difference in survival is driven by a difference in cancer-related or thrombosis-related deaths.
