Abstract

There were done histologic, electron-microscopic investigations of the lung preparations of 63 patients with destructive tuberculosis and diabetes mellitus. Men were 39, women-24 aged 17-65 years. The severe form of diabetes mellitus of the 1st type dominated (82,53%) with 5-10 and more years of duration. In all the preparations there were revealed the changes characteristic for microangiopathies: minor-in 22,22% of cases and considerable-in 77,78%. In the course of minor microangiopathy parts with dystrophic and compansatory changes alternated with parts of the ordinary structure. In the cases of acute form of microangiopathy it was observed hyperagregation of eritrocytes in dilated capillaries. Basal membrana of capillaries was more dense, edematic, even with destroyed cells and with changes in interstitional tissues. Under the minor microangiopathy the economical operations dominated and the complications were observed 2 times more rarely then under the acute form of microangiopathy.
So, it was revealed that the severity of lungs' vessels distruction depends on the degree of metabolism disruption and the duration of diabetes mellitus course. The acute form of microangiopathy made negative influence on tuberculosis course before and after operation and on the final result of treatment.
