Abstract

The aim of this work was to show the effect of treatment of physiotherapy based on principle of biofeedback in patients with bronchial asthma. 54 patients (age: 49,3 (13,6); 23m/31f) with asthma (FEV1 = 63,7 (11,5% pred) were treated by biofeedback method based on breathing and EEG changes. 10 seances for 30 minutes each helped the patient to improve the pletismography results (p<0,01). Raw=-19,2(3,1)%, Sgaw=26,1(4,8)%, PEFR=-13,2(6,3)%, FEV1 = 16,3(3,5)%. The duration of remission of asthma increase 57+ 4,6 days. That facts demonstrate the effect of biofeedback treatment based on our method in help patients with asthma.
