Abstract

The papers deals with 288 cases, out of which 258 carcinoids, 18 cylindromas (adenocystic tumors), 12 muco-epidermoid tumors. They were studied by clinical investigations and bronchial endoscopy.
Endoscopic diagnosis was accurately defined by examination, and histologic diagnosis by bronchial biopsy in 216 patients with carcinoids, 14 with cylindromas and 10 with muco-epidermoid tumors.
Surgery was performed in 178 cases; 55 were anastomosis resections.
Endoscopic evaluation of anastomosis resections was followed up by disobstructive treatments, extraction of suture threads, Bronchial dilations in case of tendency to stenosis. It is registering of such a therapy, of case pathogenesis met with in the anastomosis area that is particularly described in the literature.
Autonomous endoscopic treatment by tumors removal was applied in 48 cases in bronchial carcinoid, in 7 cylindromas and 2 muco-epidermoid, due to refusal of surgical intervention, for functionally inperable cases or in attempting an integral healing. These tumors are among the tumoral processes with malignant potential, sometimes (4 cases) with metastatic evolution (carcinoid and cylindroma), in late discovered cases with obstructive evolution and in which bronchial endoscopy and surgical treatment can no longer be applied.
