Abstract

We have investigated records of vesicular resonance of 30 healthy people and 33 patients with pneumonia. Oscillation frequencies are shown within the limit from 30 Hz to 1200 Hz. Frequency content of oscillograms was analyzed by method of Fast Fourier Transformation. Auscultatory percussion tone oscillograms of healthy people differ from those of patients with pneumonia in oscillation shape. Obtained auscultatory percussion tone spectrograms in pneumonia also differ from tones of healthy people. The first two low frequency resonance peak demonstrate good reproducibility. Less reproducibility of small high frequency resonance peaks is determined by variability of overtone amplitudes sums received from different lungs areas.
There is sufficient difference in envelops of high frequency peaks in spectrograms of healthy people and patients with pneumonia. In order to compare spectra as a whole but not only amplitudes of first two peaks we need additional processing of the primary spectrum. Double Fourier Transformation is suggested to be a promising method in this connection. The Fourier Transformation would show response graph of groups of periodic overtones. As a result we could obtain an analogue of multiband frequency filter application. This approach to spectrogram processing might help to search for focus markers in lungs.
