ERS/JAMA Lunchtime session "Advances in IPF, bronchiectasis and sarcoidosis"

Aims: The aims of this lunchtime are as follow:
- the audience will be informed about new research findings on the role of genetic variants as risk factors for IPF and as determinants of IPF prognosis;
- the audience will be informed about the benefits of long-term macrolide therapy in reducing exacerbations of non-CF bronchiectasis but also about the potential risks of the emergence of bacterial resistance;
- and the audience will be informed about the optimal approach to the diagnostic evaluation of patients suspected to have sarcoidosis.
