The European Respiratory Society organised a Summit on priorities in medicine with the objectives of determining the place of respiratory medicine (practice and research) in the broader context of medical practice and research in Europe and in the world and to make recommendations for the future of respiratory medicine (practice and research). This will lead to a Roadmap of Respiratory Medicine which should contain recommendations and action plans for health policy makers.
