PG9 Interventional pulmonology

Aims: to provide an update on the most important fields in interventional pulmonology. to discuss: 1) transthoracic ultrasonography and thoracoscopy in relation to the management of malignant pleural effusions; 2) use of endosonography (Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and Endobronchial ultrasound bronchoscopy( EUS-B)) for diagnosis and staging of lung cancer and assessment of sarcoidosis; 3) endoscopic treatment of emphysema; and 4) cryobiopsy in patients with interstitial lung diseases. After the course, participants will be able to identify and discuss the proper indications for the various interventions.
