Nerves in airway disease: genotype, phenotype and endotype

Symposium
Chairs: Alyn Hugh Morice (Cottingham, United Kingdom), Jeroen Vanoirbeek (Leuven, Belgium)
Aims: This session will describe how airway nerves may be involved in the pathophysiology and symptomatology of chronic lung disease, highlight how neuronal responses may be exaggerated in respiratory diseases, describe the mechanisms involved in these exaggerated responses and how studies in translational models of disease may lead to new therapeutic strategies.
Target audience: Clinician, Fellow, General practitioner, Pharmaceutical industry representative, Physiologist, Pulmonologist, Researcher, Respiratory physician, Student
