COPD: from lung transplantation to regeneration

Aims: The audience will gain knowledge about the recent guidelines and recommendations regarding the indications for lung transplantation in patients with COPD. At the end of this symposium, the participants will be able to identify who is the right candidate, which is the best time for referral, and which is the transplant procedure of choice for individual patient with COPD. In addition, alternative surgical strategies to transplantation will be presented.
