Parasympathetic responses in sarcoidosis
Your study is very interesting. Over the years I have seen a number of patients with sarcoidosis who exhibit exaggerated sweating which responds to atropine treatment. I have attributed this to an exaggerated parasympathetic response and frequently look at R-R intervals on 24 hr tapes to evaluate autonomic dysfunction. You would also need to evaluate whether there was any evidence of underlying cardiac involvement in your patients.
