It would be interesting to compare the relative contributions from Rib cage and Abdomen to tidal volume obtained from SLP with that derived from RIP. IF you can successfully separate contributions from these 2 compartments in a úser-friendly' manner (ie minimal manual analysis and without excessive size of the datasets) - this could be of considerable relevance for non-invasive monitoring
