Dear Dr Barros, hope this paper be published soon. Perhaps, you my try another way to evaluate correlations, not Pearson but instead Spearman with corrections. I think correlations may be too weak for analizing these data. Congratulations again. Patricio

Dear Dr. Barros, I have a few notes that I hope you will find useful. When analysing correlation between scores, I would prefer a non-parametric technique like Spearman rank correlation coefficients to Pearson's correlation. It is likely that the scores are not normally (nor even simmetrically) distributed. Moreover, the lack of an association between the severity score and the QoL score seems to be merely due to insufficient power, given the relatively low number of subjects in your study. It is not surprising to me that the lack of an association was found when correlating the 2 scores with the smaller range (<10 points per scale). Thank you for your work, Alessandro Marcon, Italy
