Aims: The aims of this session are to:
- present and discuss a considered frequent and complex syndrome with unknown epidemiological data, presenting strong connections between the heart and lung
- discuss the conditions associated with an acute right ventricular overload
- present the diagnostic strategies and the therapeutical options, in particular the ventilatory strategies to be used in a patient with an acute right heart syndrome
