"Inflammometry": an alternative strategy in the management of airways disease

Aims: This symposium will:
• give an overview over both established methods and future perspectives;
• discuss their respective clinical and research applications in different respiratory disorders. Target audience: Respiratory clinicians and nurses with an interest in the long-term management of patients with airways disease, notably asthma and COPD, research scientists with an interest in the clinical applications of airway inflammation measurements, paediatricians, paediatric pulmonologists, paediatrics and paediatric pulmonology fellows.
Assessing inflammation non invasively: induced sputum, fractional exhaled nitric oxide concentration (FeNO), exhaled breath condensate (EBC)
