Aims: The aims of this workshop will be:
• How can we use blood gases clinically?
• How do we collect a blood gas sample and how do we measure this sample: arterial vs. capillary?
• How easy is it to operate blood gas machines?
• How do we interpret the results? Target audience: Everybody who has an interest in obtaining and understanding blood gases (e.g. respiratory function technologists/scientists, respiratory nurses, physiotherapists, paediatricians, pulmonologists) and who have pre-registered for this workshop.
