Aims: This is the second course in a comprehensive three-year postgraduate core curriculum covering the main issues in thoracic oncology. The aims of this second module in the series are:
• to address the changing trends in oncological resectability of lung cancer;
• to review current knowledge of the optimal integration of the different components of modern multimodality treatment for nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC);
• to review recent advances in the systemic treatment of NSCLC;
• to summarise the role of endoscopic treatment in lung cancer management.
