Computer-aided imaging of lung parenchyma and airways

Symposium
Chairs: H. Tiddens (Rotterdam, Netherlands), W. De Wever (Leuven, Belgium)
Aims: At the end of this symposium the audience will:
• be updated upon the state of the art of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology;
• be aware that MRI offers great research opportunities to study the structure and function of the lung simultaneously;
• be aware that micro-CT and micro-MRI play an increasingly important role in the study of animal models.
