Aims: Four clinical cases will be presented, illustrating the range of lower respiratory diseases resulting from inhalation injuries. The range of nonrespiratory adverse health effects of inhalation injuries (including upper airway disease, psychological diseases and others) will be reviewed. Available diagnostic approaches and treatment options for inhalation injuries will be discussed.
