The ERS core outcome set for clinical trials evaluating the management of COPD exacerbations

Statements and technical standards
Aims: Clinical trials evaluating the management of COPD exacerbations assess heterogeneous outcomes, often omitting those that are clinically relevant or more important to patients and health professionals. A core outcome set is a consensus-based minimum set of important outcomes that should be evaluated in all trials to improve their quality and comparability. This session will explain the importance of core outcome sets, and will describe the ERS COPD exacerbations core outcome set and how it was developed.
