Surgical decision making in marginal situations

Major Symposium
Chairs: P. E. Van Schil (Edegem, Belgium), M. Polkey (London, United Kingdom)
Aims: This symposium will provide algorhythms, which help surgical decision making in marginal patients who are potentially operable. As such, patients with cardiopulmonary comorbidity, marginally respectable lung cancer and older patients are mainly defined. The speakers will provide decisional algorhythms based on recent advances in pulmonology, physiology and surgery.
