Scientific year in review: From molecular mechanisms to new treatments of respiratory diseases

Hot topics
Chairs: V. De Rose (Turin, Italy), R. Djukanovic (Southampton, United Kingdom)
Aims: The aim is to bring together scientists and clinicians so that they appreciate the recent exciting developments in basic scientific research, and to relate these to clinical practice, in particular to new treatments for respiratory diseases. Clinicians and scientists attending this symposium should be able to understand the basic mechanisms and clinical implications, and to be able to recognise the potential for future research and how it might eventually translate into clinical practice.
