PG2 - Lung Cancer - diagnosis and staging

Aims: This is the first course in a three-year postgraduate core curriculum covering the main issues on lung cancer diagnosis and treatment. The aims of this first module in the series are:
• to highlight the changing epidemiology and clinical presentation of lung cancer, which creates new opportunities for screening and early diagnosis;
• to review new strategies in diagnosis, biopsy procedures and pathological examination;
• to address the consequences of staging and functional assessment on treatment planning.
