When respiratory diseases meet swallowing disorders

Session
Chairs: M. Bonsignore (Palermo, PA, Italy), S. Vergès (Grenoble, France)
Aims: The recent ERS International Congress in London (September 2016) has seen the beginning of a collaboration between ERS and the European Society for Swallowing Disorders (ESSD) based on the importance (incidence and prevalence) of often unrecognised swallowing disorders in respiratory diseases. A collaboration between the two societies (ERS and ESSD) should help to develop programmes for all patients affected by both swallowing and respiratory disorders.
