Aims: To describe new insights into the role nutrition in respiratory health plays in diverse fields that range from primary prevention to personalised medicine. Updated information regarding the efficacy of nutritional intervention in COPD will be provided and novel nutritional targets will be presented on the basis of new insights into metabolism and inter-organ crosstalk.
