Respiratory infections in high-income countries: old challenges and new threats

Aims: This symposium will highlight and discuss new developments in respiratory infectious disease prevention and control in the European Union. The focus will be on tuberculosis, influenza, legionella, and new emerging respiratory infections. Specific objectives are to inform the audience about the epidemiology of respiratory infectious diseases, and to present and discuss new guidelines for preventing and controlling respiratory infectious diseases.
