Mechanisms of resolution of inflammation

Aims: At the end of this symposium the participant will:
• understand the potential protective role of endogenous mediators which act as anti-inflammatory compounds;
• be able to evaluate the imbalance between pro- and anti-inflammatory mediators in airway inflammatory diseases;
• be able to discuss the implications of these for treatment.
