Aims: The aims of this symposium are to describe:
- How NIV can support fiberoptic bronchoscopy (FBO) and vice versa in different clinical situations;
- How analgo-sedation may rescue poorly tolerant patients who are failing NIV;
- How NIV may help to improve the effects of inhaled therapy; and
- How noninvasive cough-assist devices may integrate with NIV function.
