PG2 Imaging in the management of thoracic malignancies

Aims: The course covers much of the diagnostic part regarding Thoracic Malignancies of the HERMES core syllabus. After the session, the participants should know the possibilities and limitations of: the imaging procedures in diagnosis and staging; the tissue sampling techniques; the new TNM and its consequences for clinical practice; and the use of standard tools (RECIST) and new tools (such as diffusion RMI, dynamic CT-scan, PET) in the assessment of response to therapy for respiratory malignancies, based on interactive case-based learning.
