PG6 Epigenetics of asthma and COPD

Postgraduate Course
Chairs: C. Jimenez Ruiz (Madrid, Spain), I.M. Adcock (London, United Kingdom)
Aims: The aims of the course are: to understand the mechanisms underlying epigenetic control of cell factor; describe how perinatal diet and environmental exposure can modify the epigenome and control asthma susceptibility; elucidate the role of epigenetics in modulating the effects of environmental pollution on airways disease; and to demonstrate how knowledge of epigenetic mechanisms may provide novel approaches to the treatment of airways disease.
HERMES LINKS
ADULT: A.1 Structure and function of the respiratory system, B.6 Occupational and environmental disease.
