Aims: Secretion management is an integral component of the treatment plan of patients with neuromuscular disease. The topic of this workshop is the meaning of cough function and the consequences of impaired secretion mobilization. LIAM (Lung Insufflation Assist Maneuver), an intelligent function integrated in Weinmann ventilators, covers the cough assistance from a smooth support to a strong need. Technical solution and first results will be presented to the auditorium. Practical demonstrations are part of the session.
