Sex-related differences in pulmonary disease

Aims: The audience will learn:
- the extent of sex differences in asthma, cystic fibrosis, COPD and nonsmall cell lung cancer;
- the molecular basis of oestrogen-related differences in cystic fibrosis;
- how genetic and environmental factors contribute to sex differences in lung disease;
- and the potential for sex-specific therapies to treat these diseases.
