Paracetamol and asthma: a causal link?

Symposium
Chairs: D. Jarvis (London, United Kingdom), S. Turner (Aberdeen, United Kingdom)
Aims: This symposium will provide an up-to-date review of the epidemiological evidence across the lifecourse linking paracetamol to asthma (prenatal, infant, childhood and adult exposure). It will provide 'pro' and 'con' evidence from observational studies for a causal link and potential mechanisms. The latest data from intervention studies in animals and humans. The challenges of trying to perform suitable trials in humans will be discussed.
