Aims: Endstage lung disease cuts across all ages and many disciplines, and the management is intellectually and ethically challenging. At the end of this course, participants will be updated on:
• innovative therapies to try to rescue children with apparently terminal respiratory failure;
• the pros and cons of the various invasive and noninvasive means of respiratory support;
• the indications for, and optimal ways of supporting, the lung transplant candidate;
• the management of children with pulmonary hypertension.
