Aims: The aim of this course is to spread knowledge on the role played by diet in respiratory disease, which is poorly understood. It will provide participants with:
• evidence on diet as a protective or risk factor in the development and the course of respiratory disease;
• details of methods to assess the intake of nutrients and vitamins;
• information on the underlying mechanisms.
