Symposium
Chairs: F. De Jongh (Enschede, Netherlands), J. Stocks (London, United Kingdom)
Aims: This session will review the evidence for the role of lung function tests for which equipment is commercially available for the diagnosis and management of children below 6 years of age with cystic fibrosis, recurrent wheeze and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. Participants will gain clear understanding of the:
- strengths and weaknesses of the various tests for these major paediatric lung diseases;
- research questions still to be answered to facilitate the clinical use of these tests for each condition.
