Update on orphan lung diseases

Symposium
Chairs: U. Costabel (Essen, Germany), S. Harari (Milan, Italy)
Aims: This symposium will review rare lung diseases, which are poorly understood by most physicians and are referred to chest specialists who must understand and keep in mind their most characteristic features. Furthermore, these rare diseases often illustrate concepts and/or pathogenetic mechanisms that are useful to further understand a variety of more common lung diseases.
