Development and application of new approaches for respiratory disease research
Lunchtime sessionChairs: Philippe Bonniaud (Dijon, France), Anthony Holmes (St Neots, United Kingdom), Iain Kilty (Cambridge, United States of America)
Aims: Participants will develop a greater appreciation of the different technological approaches that are available to the respiratory research community and the rationales behind their use. How these approaches can be applied and integrated to improve understanding of respiratory health, disease and drug development will also be discussed. Participants will also benefit from the chance to meet scientists from diverse backgrounds, which could yield new collaborations wherein they can put into practice what they have learnt from the session.
Target audience: Academic researchers of any position (i.e., PhD students, post-doctoral scientists, PIs) from different respiratory disciplines, clinicians, pharmaceutical industry scientists/study directors, technology developers, regulators and funders.
