Educational aims
The course will give knowledge about the epidemiology,
pathogenesis, diagnostic procedures and treatment of asthma in
children, as well as adults. Both basic and recent developments
will be covered. The participants will learn from European and
American experts within the field and will be able to take part in
practical demonstrations of diagnostic techniques, such as lung
function measurements, assessments of bronchial responsiveness,
exercise tests and assessments of noninvasive markers of airway
inflammation.
