Target audience
All health professionals engaged in Spirometry testing in both
primary and secondary care, as well as those involved in screening
and surveillance programs (and in particular from European
countries where no vocational training programme exists)
Educational aims
This course aims to provide state of the art knowledge in the
following:
- Provide a comprehensive training in the practical aspects of
Spirometry
- Understand the physiological mechanisms and rationale
- Recognise the indications and the protocols used in clinical
settings (i.e. when to use which test)
- Increase the understanding and interpretation of spirometry
test results in a systematic fashion
- Provide familiarity with the new ATS/ERS Standardisation of
Spirometry
