We have published in ERJ 2008 reference equations for CO and NO transfer as well as capillary lung volume and membrane conductance in adults and aged people. I am surprised not to find this european reference in your text. (European reference equations for CO and NO lung transfer.Aguilaniu B, Maitre J, Glénet S, Gegout-Petit A, Guénard H.). Perhaps a matter of key word, the word diffusion is rather confusing, transfer is what we are measuring. Transfer value includes several processes among them diffusion in the gas phase and the meembrane.
