Aims: This symposium will:
• provide a critical overview about EBC literature summarizing collection methods and possibilities for obtaining bioinformation from the samples;
• describe new aspects of airway diseases opened up by EBC measurements;
• define proper place of EBC sampling between other tools used to obtain information about the airways.
