Paediatric interstitial lung disease: an orphan coming of age

Aims: This symposium will:
• discuss the spectrum of paediatric interstitial lung disease in Europe;
• debate recent advances in diagnostic techniques and the pathological classification of paediatric interstitial lung disease;
• review recent advances in the knowledge of surfactant biology and how the different disorders present with interstitial lung disease.
