Bronchoscopy and endosonography: Lung cancer

Aims: Endosonography (EBUS and EUS) has become an minimally invasive technique for the diagnosis and staging of lung cancer. Various bronchoscopic navigation techniques, tumor detection and sampling procedures are under clinical evaluation. Techniques to be demonstrated are: Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and trans-esophageal endobronchial ultrasound (EUS-B), navigation bronchoscopy and cryoprobe bronchoscopy, radial probe endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and needle-based confocal laser endomicroscopy (nCLE), tumour ablation, and stent placement.
