GOLD 2011: a paradigm shift?

Aims: This session will provide an updated view on the assessment and management of COPD. The aims of this session are:
- to report on the major components of the current revised GOLD initiative, with highlights on diagnostic criteria, new approaches for the treatment and practical recommendations to manage COPD;
- to exchange views and concepts with the audience to optimise the implementation and dissemination of the new GOLD revision.
