Aims: The educational aims of the course are: to review the relationship between sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) and car crash; to outline the epidemiology and pathophysiology of SDB and cardiovacular disease; to discuss the pathophysiology of the metabolic consequences of SDB in children; and to review current thinking about SDB and systemic inflammation.
