Aims: The main target of this course is to update participants on the current advances in knowledge regarding epidemiology and management of drug resistant and multi-drug resistent tuberculosis (TB) cases. At the end of this course participants will be able to: understand the public health consequences of mismanagement of TB cases; interpret the key role of clinicians in TB control; apply international standards of diagnosis and care of TB; discuss the open questions for research in this field.
