PG9 What we should know about sports and asthma

Aims: A high prevalence of asthma and airway hyperresponsiveness has been reported in the athletic population. Factors potentially predisposing athletes to these conditions have not been clearly identified. This PG course will provide an overview of the prevalence and possible mechanisms of development of asthma and airway hyperresponsiveness in the athletic population and will propose relevant preventive and therapeutic measures.
