Integrated care for acute exacerbations in COPD

Aims: Acute exacerbations form an important burden and challenge in the management of COPD patients. Limited data are available about pharmacological treatment of these acute events in the natural course of the disease. This symposium focuses on care-related aspects in the management, as well as in the prevention, of these acute events.
